Stuck and Lovin it!

So here's how it went. My friend Heather called to see if I wanted to go to St George with her to do some shopping. Her husband and mine were going to be playing basketball all day with the boys so we thought a girls day would be fun. So we went and did "some" shopping. We got calls from the guys saying it was snowing really hard with the wind blowing so it was a white out. We thought , "it's OK we will just wait it out and leave later."

Well when we were shopping Heather saw her neighbor from Cedar and she said to us "oh you guys got stuck here too?" ummm.. yeah , I guess? was our reply. She saw the puzzled look on our faces and told us how the I-15 was closed from Toquervill all the way to Nephi!! So we WERE stuck there!

Heather got us a room at the Abby Inn because she is the Asst. Manger for the one in Cedar. They told us tons of people were in the same situation as us but that they had a room, whew. We had a great dinner, a great time, shopped for toothbrushes & paste, contact stuff and bought new PJ's. It was a fun girls night out

(I did not have my camera...I know Miss Paparazzi not prepared? Unheard of!)

I love how you put together the things you bought. Wish I could get stuck somewhere with a friend. I just called in to work cause I was too scared to drive!

You could not have planned that better. If you ever need a place to stay you can camp out here too.

Sounds like you really had a hard time; good friend, good food, & extra shopping(not to mention no kids)! If I ever get snowed in, I hope it's just like that

I didn't know you were snowed in! How fun--Oh, I mean, WOW! I'm glad it turned out OK. Extra shopping, extra fun. And the snow just keeps on coming... Please watch the weather reports ;-)
