Sight For 'Soar' Eyes

Grandma Jo will love this....

We had an extraordinary day today.
There is a festival held in
Cedar once a year called the Sky Fest.
They
showcase hot air balloons, I guess?

Well by the time we woke up
and got out
there all the balloons
had already taken off but,
there wa
s one just sitting there

so I told the
kids to run over so I could take there picture next to it.

Well the next thing I know we
are in line to take a little ride !! --
Well I sure didn't dare go up so I gave the camera to Carson and he took some pictures
from way up above

What A BLAST!!

The boys can't get over
how lucky they are that
they got to go up.

I feel
bad for Triston though
because he was at a
friends house so he was not there :-(

Hey Trecia, another good song would be I believe I can fly, I believe I can touch the sky!

Oh I love the Sky Fest. Next year we will have to come up for it. Two years ago the Summer Games sponsored a balloon in it. The night before the big festival they have a dinner for the sponsors and pilots. Kyle and I went. We sat with this pilot and I was telling her about how Kinley loves hot air balloons and how when she was little I would tell her stories about her many adventures across the world in a hot air balloon. Well, the next morning we were there helping her get the balloon ready and at the last second she turned to Kyle and asked where Kinley was and if she wanted to go up! He ran and grabbed her and popped her in (all the while she was quietly saying "no", because she was too shy...only Kyle heard her but he paid no attention to her cause he knew she would want to) The next thing I know I am video taping Kinley and the balloon growing smaller and smaller in the sky and it suddenly dawns on me that I just put my 9 year old daughter...my only daughter in a hot air balloon and it was so high I could barley see it! She loved it though and it was a wonderful memory. Will you remind me next year about?
I went up when the balloon was tethered too.
You got some great pictures....I miss Cedar!
