The Chain Gang

Here is the break down of our wild night in prison. My sister lives in Manti UT and the city just finished building their new jail so they invited the public to come stay the night. For just $15.00 we got dinner, movie, mug shot, t-shirt, breakfast, and a night none of us will soon forget. My entire family went, along with my sister Tara and her family, my Aunt Ruby and her two daughters, Typhena and Tabitha. We had fun at the beginning and it was very "interesting" to see how the inmates will live, but the nighttime was horrible. The beds are tiny, noisy, and uncomfortable. There are no pillows, just blankets made out of itchy wool, lights are constantly on and it was soooo cold! Food will be brought to their cells, there is no common eating area. Only 2 hours a day out of their cells on top of that. My sister and my cousins were in the cell block next to ours and it was full of teen-age girls who were up till 5am but EVERYONE could hear them, I could hear the kid next to my cell, coughing. The next morning they served breakfast and you could stay until 11am and take tours and what ever but we were so out of there by 7:15AM!! We all went home, went to bed, then enjoyed the outdoors. In the video you will not see much of Triston and James because Triston wasn't feeling well and James was all too quick to volunteer in taking him back to Manti to sleep at my mom and dad's.... ^-^. It was an interesting night and we did enjoy being together and experiencing this life altering adventure

Hey Lady T(Hope your remember that!)
I am so excited to read all about your wonderful family! You seem to be doing great! Working in a library?? WOW! Have we changed. (FOR THE BETTER!!!!) I really miss you too! Whenever I go 4 wheeling I think of our days taking your truck for a normal drive and it turning into a four wheel chase! I will be watching you too! Take Care and Keep in Touch! Don't worry I don't expect a Christmas card, just an occasional comment on my facebook or my blog.

You look like one wild woman in your mug shot! I loved the slide show and music, too funny. Your aunt really got into it sporting her stripes.

This sounds like a great way to scare your kids straight! It kinda sounds fun knowing you can go home the next day and it won't be on your permenant record!

What a fab mug shot Trecia! You're too funny! I can only imagine the night and how bad it sucked, but at least you can say you "spent the night in jail!" :o)
